Galvanized

90% of MKT manufacturing is done with domestic G90 Sheet metal and gauges from 16 gauge to 26 gauge coating.

Galvaneal (Paint-Grip)

Used when duct work needs to be painted. Still that is prepared by the mill to readily accept painting.

Stainless

Used in areas where people are concerned with corrosion. Medical, pharmaceutical, institutional, fume hoods, exhaust systems, outside exposed duct work.

Carbon

(Black iron) for exhaust systems, kitchen, food industry, apartment complex, hospital for incinerator duct.

Aluminum

Specialized in areas where corrosion is a consideration (pools), or weight is a concern (it’s very light).

All are based on the applications:

Powder coated

An electrostatic process, charge through the metal and shoot with powder, the charge attracts the powder and is baked on. Uses: durable than paint, a pre-finish, shop applied or process applied, pre-applied to the duct and baked on finish. Doesn’t require a painter on job site. Saves time, and labor.

PVC

Popular, used adverse conditions, often used underground, weather proof, chemical proof coating that is mill-applied. Made with pre-made coated material, fume, aesthetics,

Plascoat

Applied in lieu of PVC, applied after the duct work is manufactured to the job requirements, inside duct coated, outside duct coated or both. Nice looking job. Applied in a Powder coat facility.

Ceramic

Coating is an amazing product. Applied with 40 mills, used for 2 applications, harsh chemical resistance, prevents corrosion, installation, capabilities for heat. Coat the outer wall of the duct work with ceramic to protect being burnt. Prevents heat loss. 40 mils (thickest mill applied)
