MKT understands much of the purchasing done in our industry is via packages or “bundling”—the practice where a rep house seals up several items in one package, usually using price “disincentives” or penalties.

We have listened to the concerns of field personnel. Some claim the “low price on bid day was eliminated by the cost of poor service in the field”. Bundling may work for more static HVAC items but its probably not a good idea for duct. Duct is dynamic; ever changing on the jobsite. Better to have those dynamics served factory direct than wait a week and a half for a missing elbow bought from a rep house, in a bundle…
